Rules, 规则, 规则...and more 规则

I go into my year knowing the 规则 I want ahead of time. 我知道有一些流派认为您应该提出让学生集思广益的课程。 现在,尽管我认为这是一件很棒的事情,但它不适合我的控制狂教学风格,因此我实际上并不这样做。  What I do do is go through the brainstorming process with my students on the first day of school and guide them to my predetermined 规则.

  1. We are a PBIS school and so the first days of school we arent just discussing classroom 规则, but PE, music, library, guidance and Art teachers are doing rotations with other "activity"或由非家庭教师讨论走廊行为,自助餐厅,休息区,浴室的期望值,校长甚至将它们加载到公共汽车上以讨论期望值!他们每年都会听到同一件事-一年两次(通常也是在圣诞节之后)听到有关STAR学生行为的信息。我喜欢每个人都参与其中。

  4. Oh, thank you for sharing this! My class has done something very similar 通过 contributing desired 规则 and then narrowing them down to five, but I have never used the reflection booklet or the sorting 活动 and I love them!!!! I am so appreciative!

  7. Ha! I feel the same way. I posted about this, too. I use whole brain teaching and really got tired to swaying them to the right 规则. Now I just lay it out! Love these files and using in my 2nd grade room!

  12. I use a similar technique to yours in my classroom. We discuss what 规则 make a classroom where everyone can learn and feel safe. We brainstorm the 规则 (and I do steer them in the way I want them to also!) I find that students would be much stricter than what I want and harsher in the consequences! We also practice and model what the following the 规则 looks like. This year I'我还增加了学生' pictures modeling the 规则 and posting the pics with the 规则.

  15. I have to be honest. I am too much of a control freak to have the students make the 规则, even if I were to guide them there. I have my 规则 that I go over, but we do discuss how the "little" 规则 all fall into the ones I have listed.

Since we are a PBiS school, we have to use the school 规则 to be consistent (but they were developed as a staff so that'很好)。我们如何使他们成为自己的方式是让学生们共同努力,列出我们房间中的功能外观。它's similar to what you have here...we use Thinking Maps too and I am going to steal the idea of having the kids do this with the thinking maps also to help reinforce the 规则 and expectations!
